"Very nice staff, comfortable beds, warm shower, well located with beautiful surroundings!! A morning walk is really worth it. The kitchen has a lot of plates and tools, you can easily cook. There's a filter as well for drinkable water. Would definitely stay again!"
"Quiet hostel to chill after the hiking. Staff is very caring. We have had a lot to laugh with Eugenio (a gentleman, I must say). Just one remark, it smells badly in the kitchen + we were in a big bedroom but there were only 2 plugs."
"Good for the price Excellent location right at the start to all the walks in the area and 10 mins by car to other points of interest. Facilities a little old compared to modern hostels that you maybe more familiar with. The dorm I was a 6 bed with one bathroom. So might be a little tough in peak season. few sockets so remember an extension cable. Staff super friendly cooking facilities are good, everything you need."
"This hostel is located in a beautiful spot in Glendalough and the hikes around are worth checking out. Unfortunately, the positive notes end there. When we arrived it was clear the rooms hadn't been cleaned. There was no storage lockers in the building making it uncomfortable to leave your bags unattended when leaving the premises. I was in a 10 person room which had a single washroom/shower for everyone. This made it very impractical in the evening and morning. The bathroom also had no hand soap available and was covered in mold and spiders. There was one single common toilet in the lobby which was clogged and also had no hand soap. It looks like the entire building has not been cleaned in years with dust build up everywhere. Definitely not worth 44€ for a 10 person uncleaned room. The only perk was that we had a roof over our heads for the night but I would have been more comfortable out in the woods."
