"Five of us had an excellent Sunday lunch here ably served by the charming Suzanne. She entertained us all while managing to accurately take the order for drinks and then for food. The menu has been upgraded since our last visit, and we were very impressed with the changes. I had a generous portion of bbq meaty pork ribs, which were finger licking good. I passed the accompanying chips to my companions. Two of the party ordered chicken fajitas which came on a three tiered serving stand. They were very happily consumed with approval. The others had chicken wings and pil pil prawns. The portion of prawns looked small, but I was assured they were delicious and sufficient in quantity. The wings were good too. Then we all had desserts. Sadly the bread and butter pudding was not avaliable, but the sticky toffee pudding was very nice. The brownie was particularly well received and the churros were very tasty. We all had non-alcoholic drinks as well, in some cases two! And final bill for FIVE was €124.65. This was excellent value for a delicious meal with which we were all satisfied. And having Suzanne as our server was a delightful bonus!"
"We recently stayed there and to say we where disappointed is an understatement. One guy trying to run one large bar on his own. And one guy running another bar on his own at our wedding party. Hotel rooms where booked back in June and we where all booked into standard rooms dispite all paying different prices, pure robbery. Food was poor and very over priced, the hotel was in a good location and has its own free car park. We where never asked our room number at breakfast time, hence you could just walk in from the street and have a free breakfast. Staff are very young and undertrained. I certainly won't be back nor my family who where all over charged. Very disappointed. Derek Raythorne"
"*CLUB UPSTAIRS!!* What good is a hotel if you can’t sleep in it?? The outside of the hotel is what dreams are made of- so beautiful. But their website should say somewhere in very big letters “CLUB UPSTAIRS THAT PLAYS MUSIC UNTIL 1AM”. Because we didn’t know that the club existed until we were in the bar having drinks and eating, when droves of young people started coming in around 9:30pm, going upstairs and filling the bar and outside areas. I am traveling with my husbands family and our 4 year old daughter. The bass from the music in our room was so incredibly loud. I called the front desk, and the response told me that they know it’s an issue and the manager doesn't care to do anything about the volume because this is how it always is. By 11:30 when our 4 year old still wasn’t sleeping we asked to switch rooms. They were kind and gave us a new room on the other side of the hallway. It was great for about 10 minutes until at midnight the volume kicked up, and even with earplugs and white noise cranked up, it was still so so loud. Beautiful place, but unless you sleep through anything I wouldn’t recommend it. I would recommend to the manager to find a happy medium. The music volume isn’t an issue, I can’t hear the words to the song. It’s the bass that is way too loud, which can EASILY be turned down to a reasonable level. If you want to successfully run both businesses in the same building, you’ll have to figure something out."
"Very nice, quiet hotel. Staff was very friendly. The courtyard was a nice place to hang out at. There's a creek behind the hotel with a small walking path around town that was nice. The town itself is cute but has necessities and several restaurants. It didn't take long to get into Dublin either from this location. It was a great value for the price and I would come back"
"Only been here for food and a drink but have had a great time every time. Food hits the spot perfectly, I've tried 3/4 things at this stage and each one has been delicious. Would highly recommend. Staff are always welcoming and polite and the service is top as well. Love the courtyard and will be back."
