"Avoid First of all the listing is terrible in the first place. The photos are brutal, most people seem to book this by accident due to thinking its Dunboyne castle. I'm sure the owner thought he'll be a clever marketer. Booking or no booking errors you can set and change the room setting whether they're refundalbe or not."
"Dunboyne Castle Hotel is first off in county meath , not Dublin. And now under new management, so maybe they might try to make amends for previous owner or manager's short comings."
"Avoid Avoid Avoid.... Took our booking but night before we due to stay , cancelled it claiming covid 19. Did not inform us. And put room back on website for higher price for same night.. Totally unreliable.. The response from owner is an outright lie. Avoid the place."
"I have booked this from Booking.com thinking it’s Dunboyne Castle Hotel I paid in advance for the room but when I realised that it’s not what I expected I try to get a refund They are asking for the full price if you consider to cancel your reservation The owner is not answering the phone and emails Booking.com try to contact them for a refund with no success They took my money and didn’t even consider for a refund especially I asked for it after 30 min. after paying Tried for 3 straight days to contact the owner and nothing Ruined my weekend plans for good Totally disappointed"
"We booked a night here a week ago. However, when we got to the property, we were unable to gain access. We tried ringing the number on the website but got cut off straight away. Also the property is in an estate of apartments with teenagers running around the green, kicking footballs at cars. We had to source accommodation elsewhere. We contacted Booking.com who advised the property might have been double booked. Eventually we got our money back but it hasn't made up for the inconvenience of ringing several hotels nearby to get accommodation. We had to drive to Lucan in the end. My advice is AVOID."
