"This is a disguised hostel with poor management and subpar rooms. We chose it as it is a prime location with access to the DART. We were to stay 5 nights but only stayed one. And even then only because it was already late and there were few options. Starting small with complaints, parking is limited, even though it said ample. We elected for a room with a king bed a twin. The bed was a full and twin. The bathroom was very out of date. There is an agreement to sign sitting in the room when you walk in but that was never mentioned ahead of time. We were emailed a link to check-in, also something we were not aware of, at 7pm the day we were to check in. Check in started at 3pm. We arrived at the property at 8:30pm. As we are not EU citizens, we did not have cellular service during the 90 minutes prior to our arrival and did not see the email. We booked on expedia and was told reception was 24 hours. The door was locked and no one was present upon our arrival; however, there were two other groups present who were also unaware of these items. One group were also foreigners and the other was Irish. The Irishman was arguing with management about check in procedures. He was told he needed to present ID, which was not communicated prior and is not the normal within Ireland. After over an hour of waiting, a man came to check us in and bring us to our rooms. The information posted on the walls inside did not align with what the man was telling us and that didn't align with what is online: check in times, ID requirements. Funny enough, there was an 8/10 stars award inside. We certainly did not have an 8/10 experience. The man wanted to take pictures of our ID's on his personal cell phone. He was more concerned about correcting us and telling us how we were wrong rather than finding solutions to the issues. When we were finally brought to our underwhelming room, the man did not know the numbers of the rooms. We did not receive any refund for the nights we did not stay. Overall, I would never recommend this location. I do recommend the two hotels across the street. Expensive but there staffs did everything they could to help us!"
"Great location if you’re attending the RDS - other than that, nothing really justified the high price. Windows didn’t close properly and have temporary locks to keep them slightly ajar. There was a dog barking every night from a nearby house that was made worse by the windows being open. You are in quite close proximity with other rooms too and can hear a lot coming from the rooms on your floor The bathrooms could do with updating (loose toilet seats, bad water pressure, generally looking old). Checking in caused a bit of confusion as I called ahead and they said I was fine to check in early but then on arrival they said that wasn’t true (so had travelled there for nothing)."
"Top location. Staff was Ok, but guys, full heating in the building with 17 degrees outside. NoGo!"
"I arrived an got the last parking space. A bit of hassle getting into the building. Their instruction email was in a format that was too small to read. I was then assigned a key on my phone to someone else's room. Not great for security. Apartment was spacious and well equipped. Location is good for RDS."
"Excellent location & very friendly and helpful staff. Room was perfectly clean & quiet. Our family really enjoyed the stay in this picturesque guest house and we will definitely come back. Many thanks for everything, especially to Andres who went above & beyond to assist us."
