"Fantastic place in the middle of beautiful countryside close to the Wicklow Way. Comfy rooms and a great common room with sofas overlooking the rolling hills. The service is friendly and the food really good. Both room and food is really good value. I loved the two tiny ponies that roam the gounds freely and look through the windows wanting either snacks or to be let in."
"I’ll be beyond grateful for the help that host offered me and my friend to get to Lus Mór. We misunderstood the bus schedule and missed the last bus to the village but with his help we got there safely! Clean space, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast. Definitely recommend it!!"
"This B&B was a little different than many we stayed in on our trip to Ireland. It was very much in the country in the Wicklow Mountains. It was a working farm... which meant you had to take off your shoes when coming into the building. There were a lot of rules which were explained in great detail when we arrived; but, they were sensible rules. Everything ran like a well-oiled machine. A hot breakfast was at an extra cost, which did not bother us after at least 14 days in a row having a full Irish breakfast, we were ready for cereal and fruit. The lambs and ewes would call to each other at night in the evening to find each other in the dark, there were quite a few so there was quite the chorus of BAAing to put you to sleep when the sun went down. The lambs were very cute and we enjoyed the country atmosphere considering we live on a small farm ourselves it was more like home than somewhere in the city. There were a couple miniature horses that roamed the front yard and had free run of the place during the day. The gate had to be opened and closed to drive into the yard when the animals were roaming around. We stayed three nights and were very comfortable. The Sally Gap and other mountain roads were beautiful, we had to go through the mountains to get to many of the castles, waterfalls and other attractions in the area. There are many things to do and see a short distance from the B&B. It is very close to Dublin which some would want to visit... not me, I am allergic to cities. We were able to find many excellent restaurants in the area for supper. Disliked · Very few (only 2 of 5) places we stayed on our vacation had a table and chair in the room to put a laptop and charge phones, this would be a nice improvement in any room used for an overnight stay, the first thing we do when going to our room is to set up a laptop and charge cell phones. I end up using the little table beside the bed most places for my laptop which is not comfortable... hard on my back and no good place to use the mouse."
"The atmosphere of Lus Mór reminded me of traveling in New Zealand 20 years ago. The common area has a really nice environment and buzz. Rebecca and her team are excellent. Dinner and breakfasts were super. Highly recommended."
"I came to Lus Mór only a few weeks after it first opened, years ago, and was completely delighted with my stay. I have returned many times, on my own, with my wife, with my son, with other friends and I have always been delighted (as have my friends) - with the owner, James, the manager Rebecca and the staff - the accommodation is spotless, airy and comfortable. The food is wholesome and tasty. The location is beautiful and the mountain air is fresh. If this sounds glowing, it's meant to! I'm not related to anyone involved, so this is a disinterested review!"
