Reviews
"Quite nice a hotel. With lots of history and of certain kind of charming old fashioned interior. Very nice and friendly staff. Fantastic atmosphere inside the pub and the restaurant with many elderly local people. They seem to come here often and it looks they feel at home. Brilliant. The Joyce's Suite was rather noisy between 7.20 am and 9.15 pm. Maybe cause of the hotel's (kitchen?) ventilation system. You should not want to sleep too long or go to bed too early. We did not complain 'cause we stayed there for just one night."
"Nice place. Its very old, but well maintained. The interior woodworking is very nice and well maintained. Some reviews say the train outside is loud and shakes the entire building. NOT TRUE. No shaking from my room on 5th floor, and not from the restaurant on first floor, which is about 20 ft from the tracks. Staff is excellent. Food is just OK. GREAT LOCATION. I would recommend."
"Great option. We stayed in '22. It's an older hotel, but in a charming way. The room was smallish, but fine. The breakfast was good, comprehensive, and included. The location was awesome, right in the middle of things. And topping it off, was the service. Everyone was helpful and friendly. If we get back to Dublin, it'll be here. Fantastic value."
"We had an interior room, and newly-added AC. These are the main things you should ask for at this hotel to have a comfortable stay. A+ for the water pressure in the shower! Amazing! You'll still be able to hear the tram from pretty much every room, but earplugs help... especially when the seagulls start going in the morning. The included breakfast was very good, and the location can't be beat."
"We had a fantastic stay here. We found the hotel perfect for our break away. It is close to everything we need. The room was a bit small bit lovely and clean. The staff were very nice and helpful. Paul the door man was an absolute gentleman and always hd a smile on his face. He was very chatty and went out of his way to help anyone. We would definitely recommend here and will be back again."
