"Pros: For the price you can't beat the location. You can absolutely walk everywhere in Dublin from here. The staff was fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable; which is all I personally need. The food and drinks in the pub are great. Cons: The hotel is old and outdated and not in a cute way. Ran out of hot water, paint peeling in the shower, questionable carpet; that sort of thing. Things to consider: If you need quiet to sleep, this is not your place. They have their own pub that goes until 3ish am and is loud. It didn't bother me, but if you are sensitive to sounds it will bug you. They also don't have air conditioning, so if you're sensitive to heat you might want to find elsewhere. They are remodeling as of my stay March 2023, so my con above will likely be null and void! Overall I'd absolutely stay here again and would recommend it!"
"Stayed here earlier in the year. Severely understaffed although the staff themselves are lovely. Reasonable price for Dublin. But the first thing I noticed was how there was a locked door in my room. Didn’t know what it was leading into until 12am the first night. Another guests room. I could hear every single word they were saying. I knocked on the door to give them a hint but they didn’t stop until 2am. Very inconvenient and annoying as I had to get up early. Same thing the following night. I asked reception for ear plugs but they didn’t have any at all. What was the point of having that door there??? So random unless you were a family/big group. Bar was nice to be fair. Brilliant location."
"This hotel is great for the price. You can't beat it. The rooms were quiet, clean and smell good, the bed was very comfortable, plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower, restaurant, pub and entertainment downstairs are an excellent way to start or end your day and you can't beat the location. Just a note the electrical outlets are different in Ireland than in Europe but Heather and all the staff at the front are very helpful told me some cool places to visit and even loaned me a plug converter... Well done Arlington team well done indeed."
"We were a group of 10 people attending a meal at the Arlington hotel recently for a family celebration....we ordered starters and main course however after a wait of approximately 20 minutes our main courses arrived at the table with no explanation as to the whereabouts of our starters which never arrived.... Whist eating our main course our starters were brought to the table.... As we were already enjoying our main course we did not accept our starters, which along side it being a waste of food we thought it was an unusual way to serve our meal, some starters never arrived at all. At the end of the meal, the bill arrived which included all the starters that we did not receive or accept which when we brought it to the attention of our server was rectified without delay. The food that we did receive was tasty and enjoyable however the confusion over our food was a disappointment."
"Well, we visit the restaurant only. They have great food in general. We had chicken curry which is spicy, it was nice. Chowder with salmon which was great, we liked it a lot. I would prefer the portion to be a bit bigger one. And also beef steak sandwich, I didn’t like much the meat in it. It was very hard, I was expecting something better! In general the food was nice, in total we paid around 18€ per person. Also is very close to the halfpenny bridge and next to the river, so close to city center! Recommended"
