"Disgusted This place used to be a lovely local chemist. Now it's awful! You're spoken to like you're irritating the staff. The wait time depends on who you are. It can range from 30mins for one customer, to an hour for the next, and then down to 15 after. You're lied to and told all your medication isn't there. when you state you'll wait, all your meds come out?? On 2 occasions the staff wouldnt admit to making a mistake, This weekend was the icing on the cake. I had to go almost 24hrs, without a major medication that I need. I spent the time in agony in bed. When a carer went into collect the meds, she was also treated badly. After almost 10 years, I'll be going elsewhere. I can order via an app, and have the meds through my door within 4-5 days. Instead of each month, waiting 4 days for the doctor to do the script and a whole week before the pharmacy can have my meds ready!"
"Sian and the team at Hyde Park Pharmacy are excellent. I have found them, over many years, to be kind, friendly, understanding and very helpful. They provide an excellent service!"
"I recently rang this chemist about a script for my husband the lady that answered the phone was rude and her attitude was disgusting! I understand that the chemist are under pressure right now but the way she speaks to customers is shocking! I was considering using this chemist for both our monthly script but will now stick where I am at least you get treated with respect and spoken to like a human and not something stuck to the bottom on your shoe! If I could have have 0 starts I would!"
"As much as I understand they're probably extremely busy but for the last year or so there are certain staff members who consistently make you feel like you've done something wrong, and shouldn't be there. I was assured by my Doctor that medication is definitely in stock, so I head down and I'm met with rudeness and ordered to 'wait for a text'- which I'm aware of but like I said, my Doctor assured me they were in stock. Nope, I'm wrong and silly. Another time my wife has been in to pick up some personal/sensitive treatment and in front of a growing queue the pharmacist shouts out the name of the product making her feel quite embarrassed. I think they need a prescription of compassion and perhaps retraining in customer-facing roles. Used to be a nice pharmacy now it's like you're entering Dragons Den to pitch."
"Used to be one of the best pharmacies in Plymouth, but seems they taken so much work load on they can’t keep up, and they are over run. However the hole pharmacy has changed, I collect for my wife who is crohnically unwell, but the service and attitude is as if they are doing a chore not a job. The staff seem fed up, over worked and everything is a massive problem. The lady on counter (older) has a horrible attitude and very rude speaks to you like your a child has no customer service skills at all, the lady also behind the counter doing the prescriptions obviously she’s bussy and she used to be such a nice person to deal with however most recently again her attitude has got awful like they make you feel worried to use the pharmacy or if you need the prescription urgently ( why most people go to a oharmacy) this pharmacy is well known for having stock, a lot of urgent prescriptions including out of hours prescriptions get sent to here for my partner and we have now moved her usual prescriptions to another pharmacy just because of service and attitude, but when it’s urgent and it’s out of hours we use this pharmacy as out of hours tend to like to use it, again seems like another issue and they like to feel the need to state need to make mind up what pharmacy you want to use! This pharmacy used to be best in Plymouth, they either have not enough staff for work load or they have changed hands because it’s changed a lot and it didn’t need to change. Maybe need to have more staff if the business has grown and re train staff on customer service skills. At the end of the day you don’t go to a pharmacy if your fine, and the last thing you need is nasty attitude, or to be made to feel like they are doing a chore or your there and shouldn’t be. They also like to state that “CAN BUY IT” when a doctor has sent a refereal for a reason! Our daughter was sent a 111 referal for her hayfever tablets they were wrongly stating I should buy them, these are not standard hayfever tablets for £1! They were fexafenadine and yes you can buy them however they were not strength needed to buy and also it was needed to be labelled to be taken into school! You really don’t understand how you can upset people, especially when there is other people listening in the que! I just don’t no why the service has got so bad! The owner Sharn used to be well known for stock levels, good staff and fast prescription service, well not anymore!. Sorry but really upset after last couple of times I have come in, i she’ll not be returning at all and will ask that out of hours do not send anything here unless it’s only place left open on a Sunday evening but will do everything to avoid this, as I feel worried and upset about coming in. Very disappointed"
