Welcome to Irongate Kindergarten, a warm and nurturing establishment located at Hastings, Walton Way, 4. As an establishment, point of interest, and school, we are dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment for our tamariki (children).

At Irongate Kindergarten, we believe in celebrating the unique individuality of each child. Our experienced and caring Kaiako (teachers) are committed to helping children grow and develop into confident and happy individuals. We prioritize their sense of wellbeing and belonging within the kindergarten setting, fostering a safe and inclusive atmosphere where mutual respect and honor are evident throughout our learning spaces.

We strongly value the partnership between our kindergarten and whānau (family). We believe that collaboration is key to a child's learning journey. With an open door policy, we invite whānau to bring their talents and skills to enhance our tamariki's education. We welcome you to visit us on a Tuesday between 8.30 and 9.45 for Cuppa and Kai, where you can meet our Kaiako and see if our kindergarten is the right fit for your child. Please note that you are welcome to visit any time, but Cuppa and Kai is only available on Tuesdays.

Through ngakau nui (big heart), we foster whanaungatanga (relationships), manaakitanga (care), and kotahitanga (unity), supporting and nurturing children's mana (spirit) and sense of wellbeing and belonging.

As part of the Heretaunga Free Kindergarten Association, we are pleased to offer up to 30 hours of free early childhood education when you attest your 20 free hours. Terms and conditions apply.
