I am a qualified and registered psychologist with extensive experience in working with children, young people, and their families. I specialize in addressing various difficulties in different areas. My approach to therapy is guided by ecological and developmental theories, incorporating elements of strengths-based, cognitive-behavioral, and creative therapies. Additionally, I have received training in EMDR and attachment-based therapies, enabling me to provide comprehensive and effective support.

My training was completed through the esteemed Child and Family Psychology program at the University of Canterbury. Since then, I have had the privilege of helping individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves and acquire practical tools for personal growth.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with diverse individuals, each with unique needs and characteristics. This has motivated me to continuously enhance my skills to ensure that I deliver the most suitable support possible. Having lived in Christchurch for the past decade, I have developed a deep connection with the community and its people.

Please be aware that appointments at Solfrid Gillman Psychology are priced at $160 GST for a 50-minute session. We kindly request that you provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel an appointment. Appointments that are unattended or cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged at 50% of the normal fee.
