Welcome to the Oxford Community Health Centre, located at 39 Park Avenue in Oxford, New Zealand. At our establishment, we prioritize the health and well-being of our community members, treating each individual as a valued neighbor and friend.
As the only General Practice in the Waimakariri District that offers PRIME responders and round-the-clock care, seven days a week, we are dedicated to serving our community in the best way possible. However, this commitment comes at a cost, as we do not receive funding for these exceptional services. We kindly ask for your support by enrolling with us today.
Currently, we are accepting enrolments exclusively from patients residing within the boundaries of the Oxford-Ohoka Ward to Downs Road. By enrolling with us, you become part of a community-focused healthcare center that strives to provide comprehensive and personalized care to every patient.
Please note that after returning your completed enrolment, there is a waiting period of 5-7 days before you can make an appointment at our practice. This period allows us to obtain your medical information from your previous healthcare provider, ensuring that our clinicians have all the necessary details to address your specific health needs and provide optimal care.
Our friendly receptionist is available to guide you in selecting the type of appointment that best suits your requirements. Whether you need a routine check-up, specialized treatment, or preventive care, we are here to accommodate your needs and provide exceptional healthcare services.

"This is a happy rural community medical centre. It is a people place and more importantly a place of hope and happiness. Staff, to a person, are caring and very patient focused. Times are tough but people are really important here - this is what makes this them so special. Thank you folks for the support, the caring, the professionalism and the Aroha."
"If you're new to the area just go to white cross or anywhere else as you will pay $75 for basically nothing. Save the money for gas to go somewhere else that doesn't charge so much for basically just a ten minute consult with a nurse basically just taking a few notes for their records, checking weight and possibly temp and blood pressure. Thing you can do at home and something the doctor would Normally do anyway. It's supposed to save the doctor time but you pay for it. If you travel as we do then every visit is a first time visit so it's just too darn expensive so yeah better off with accident emergency or even white Cross. Better treatment and everything you need is in one place. May the odds be ever in your favor."
"Very patient centered. Professional with a kind and caring approach with their patients and support people. The staff present as being a wonderful team of highly skilled people centered folk - from the admin through to the medical professionals. They make Shortland Street look like washed out novices by comparison "
"Absolutely disgusting service. Visiting family In oxford(from Dunedin) and my mum got a chronic tummy bug, as she's immune compromised she got hit very hard. After calling and seeing if it was possible to be seen by a doctor on a Sunday at the centre we went thru the assessment they made a booking for 4pm, this was at LUNCHTIME! 12.30pm! SO.... 3.56pm pulling into the oxford community health center, and I get a call to say they're refusing to see her as she's not from the area. For goodness sake they knew this at 12.30pm! So we are currently sitting outside the centre waiting on an ambulance. Had we've known this AT 12.30pm we would've gone somewhere else to seek help. What has this world come to, CERTAINLY NO DUTY OF CARE WITH THIS DOCTORS."
