Please note that we are not administering COVID-19 vaccines at our facility. If you are looking to book a COVID-19 vaccine, you can do so at www.BookMyVaccine.nz or call the COVID Vaccination Healthline on 0800 28 29 26 (8am to 8pm, 7 days a week).
In case of a medical emergency or if you are acutely unwell, please call 111 for immediate assistance. For urgent appointments or advice, we recommend calling our clinic and asking to speak to a nurse. One of our clinicians will assess your situation and arrange a Free COVID-19 swab/RAT test if necessary.
For the safety of our patients and staff, we require everyone entering the building to wear a mask. Patients with respiratory symptoms or mask exemptions will be asked to wait in their cars and will be seen in dedicated rooms or spaces with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
To make managing your health easier, we offer the "Manage My Health (MMH)" portal. Through this online platform, you can book consultations, access lab results, and request repeat prescriptions. You can download the MMH app from the App Store or Google Play, or visit our website at https://www.managemyhealth.co.nz.
Please note that our online appointments are specifically for GP consultations. If you would like to book another service such as minor surgery, mole checks, IUCD's, Mirena insertion, new patient appointments, or insurance medicals, please call our reception.
Due to ongoing staff absences caused by COVID-19 and illness, we may need to reschedule appointments. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and patience during these challenging times.
Our phone lines can be busy, and we understand that it can be difficult to get through. We are implementing measures to alleviate this issue, including booking appointments through Manage My Health. For non-urgent clinical requests, results, and queries, you can also email our nurses directly at nurses@pegasusmedicalcentre.co.nz.
Please be aware that appointment times are indicative, as the nature of General Practice means that acute and unwell patients, as well as late arrivals, may cause some delays. Our receptionists will inform you if there is a wait time, and we appreciate your understanding in such situations.
To ensure that all patients receive adequate attention, appointments are scheduled for 15 minutes to cover one or two issues. If you have more concerns or issues to discuss, we kindly request that you book two appointments to allow enough time for thorough care.
We kindly ask that you arrive on time for your appointment, as arriving late may result in your doctor being unable to see you. Our staff is here to assist you and your family, and we have a zero tolerance approach to any verbal, aggressive, violent abuse, or behavior towards our staff or other patients.
At Pegasus Medical Centre, we are proud to offer a range of services to our patients. We now provide NO SCALPEL VASECTOMY, and we also have dedicated musculoskeletal consultations with GPs who have a special interest and expertise in this area. Additionally, we are an affiliated provider to Southern Cross for comprehensive skin examinations, skin cancer surgery, and skin cancer diagnosis and treatment.

"I am so glad to have finally found a practice that provides such high quality service at every level; from the welcoming, reassuring staff at reception, to the compassionate, extremely diligent nurses and HP, to the exceptionally thorough, kind and attentive doctors. There is excellent communication between staff, which has resulted in very a prompt and efficient response to every crisis I have dealt with this year. They have all helped in every way possible, making emergency appointments when necessary, dealing with my concerns immediately and working together on complex issues to ensure I have been well taken care of in and out of the practice. I was particularly impressed on one occasion when staff at reception noticed I was upset in the waiting room, and offered another room to wait in with the support of a nurse. It is this attention to detail that continues to impress me. I couldn't ask for more in a medical practice, thank you team."
"I am extremely disappointed. I made a payment on the day of my appointment in March however for some reason the payment was not put against my account. I received emails saying they were sending my account to the debt collector after I had told them that the account had been paid on the day. I then realised that they had also overcharged me when I provided evidence of the payment. I have asking for them to clear the amount due and refund the money however it has been over a month and I have heard nothing and no apology either. Myself, my parents and grandparents have been patients for years and I am not the first person for this to happen to, my dad and two of my grandparents have also had very similar issues. Not good enough and I will not be going back. Definitely DO NOT recommend."

"Should rather be renamed to just Pegasus Centre as medical and health care are not a priority. I've had the same issues with a repeat script 4 times in a row. Clearly the reception needs training as what they say and do are completely different. It's rather shocking as repeat medicine are taken because you need to and Pegasus Centre clearly doesn't care about the impact of their negligence on a person's health an wellness."
