Welcome to Mt Helen Cattery, located at 69 Bergs Lane in the peaceful suburb of Mount Helen, Australia. Our establishment is not only a point of interest but also a veterinary care facility, ensuring that your beloved feline friends receive the best care possible.

At Mt Helen Cattery, we understand that cats require a calm and stress-free environment. That's why our two cattery buildings have been designed exclusively for cats, with no dogs present to disturb their tranquility. Situated on a beautiful 10-acre property, our cattery is conveniently located near the Midland Highway and Geelong Road, making it easily accessible for pet owners.

In Cattery One, we have created a welcoming and comfortable space for your cats. Our office area is located in the open living room, allowing you to observe how your cats settle in. Each cat has its individual "time out and cuddles" space, where they can relax and enjoy some one-on-one attention. The spacious pens feature elevated sleeping boxes just below the window, providing a cozy spot for snoozing and observing the outside world. A scratching ramp leads up to the sleeping box, allowing cats to engage in their natural behavior. Access to the individual outside areas is through a clear catflap, ensuring that your cats can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.

Cattery Two offers larger pens and outside areas, catering to younger and more active cats. These spaces are perfect for climbing and playing, with different levels and elevated "look outs" for your cats to explore. The four corner pens are particularly spacious and can accommodate multiple cats from the same family. Cattery Two is also ideal for long-term stays, as it provides ample space for cats that may need to stay with us for several months.

When it comes to booking, we recommend reserving your cat's spot as early as possible, especially during holiday periods such as Christmas, Easter, and school holidays. We understand that plans can change, so we do not charge a cancellation fee or require a deposit. However, we kindly ask that you inform us as soon as possible if your plans change. Our dedicated staff is happy to administer medication or injections, and we provide a range of dry and wet cat foods. If your cat requires a special diet, please supply it during their stay.

To ensure the health and safety of all our guests, we have a few requirements. Cats must be at least 3 months old, desexed if they are over 6 months old, and vaccinated within the last 12 months. We also offer local pick-ups and deliveries, as well as visits to the vet for an additional fee.

In terms of payment, we accept cash on pick-up or direct credit transfer. For long-term stays of several months, we may request progress payments. Please note that we do not have an EFTPOS facility.

Our opening hours are flexible, as we are open every day of the year by arrangement. However, we are closed between 12 noon and 4 pm, so please plan your visits accordingly. We encourage you to come and have a look at our facilities before making a booking.
