"Just pulled in to have lunch. Approached the bar to order food. The girl asked if we had a booking and I told her there was a free table out the front and we didn’t have a booking. She then asked us to go around to the public bar and just walked off on us while we were still speaking to her. We then went to the public bar and was greeted by an abrupt older lady who said ‘not today we just had a huge walk in’. No apology, just a flat out no. As we walked out, the dining room was not full at all. This has been my 2nd time here and both times we’ve had rude staff members. I think this is the last straw and I won’t be back. It’s a shame because I regularly ride my horse at the you yangs and love the idea of a pub feed after but not being served and being spoken to like is enough to turn me off this place completely. If you work in hospitality - you need people skills."

"I’ve NEVER dined at a venue where I could not order an entree sized meal to come out with mains. For what reason? Who knows. I won’t be going back anytime soon. Whilst the food that was ordered was delicious, mine was too big and I left half on the plate. Hence why I wanted to order the entree."

"We enjoy regular family dinners at the Little River Hotel and couldn’t fault the service or atmosphere. For a country pub there’s an impressive menu, very generous servings and quality produce. Love the specials board and the best onion rings I’ve ever had. We were made to feel so welcome here after recently moving to the area and love having a joke with the publican and girls behind the bar. So lucky to have such a good old fashioned pub in our own back yard."

"3/5 stars because its great food but questionable service sometimes. We came in at 12, waiting for a couple to meet us there at 12.30. Only the bar was open not the restaurant, that was fair but we were told to hurry up and order by 12.30 or we would not eat. That they send the chef home if its quiet. There were about 5 other men there drinking and some eating. The service by the two women at the bar was shocking, telling us to hurry up and we overheard them not saying very nice things to the men who were ordering. We will come here again though because the food is worth it but the older ladies there need an attitude check."

"This was your traditional pub... Warm, friendly and the food was great. My friends and I ordered Rib-eye, T-bone, Outback Parma, and Steak sandwich... Everyone enjoyed the food, and said we need to come back there again. In relation to the rooms, we didn't stay there so I can't say much about it."
