About the Business
Welcome to Curran Park! Located at Prairiewood on Curran Street, our establishment is a must-visit park and point of interest in Australia. As an iconic institution in Sydney, we are excited to announce the return of the Cabramatta Moon Festival on Sunday, September 17th. This festival is a celebration of culture and community that you won't want to miss. Click here to find out more about this exciting event.
At Curran Park, we believe in giving back to our community. We are currently seeking partner not-for-profits from within Fairfield City to help us package and distribute donations. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact and support those in need.
We also offer various initiatives for the residents of Fairfield City. If you have a Pensioner or Gov Health Care card, you can take advantage of discounted dog desexing vouchers in partnership with Sydney Dogs and Cats Home. Additionally, we have partnered with the Cat Protection Society of NSW to provide free microchipping and $30 desexing for cats owned by pensioners and low-income residents of Fairfield City Council area.
For those looking to stay fit and active, we have Gyms in Parks available at Wilson Park, Bonnyrigg Heights. Join us for free fitness sessions using Fairfield City Council's outdoor fitness equipment. It's a great way to exercise and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
For art enthusiasts, we have an exciting exhibition called "A Whisper Echoes Loudest" from August 26th, 2023 to February 10th, 2024. This exhibition explores the experiences of colonialism by individuals and communities in Australia. It's a thought-provoking and insightful showcase that shouldn't be missed.
If you have a passion for pottery, join us at The Clay Studio for Term 3, 2023. Every Friday from 10am to 12pm, you can indulge in the art of pottery and create beautiful masterpieces.
We are proud of our commitment to the youth in our community. Year after year, we collaborate with the Fairfield Youth Advisory Committee, partners, and local young people to deliver an innovative and original NSW Youth Week program. The 2023 program was a huge success, and we can't wait to continue inspiring and supporting our youth.
Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone is a strong advocate for our community. He is calling upon the NSW Government to stop the rubbish tax and use the funds to invest in waste and recycling infrastructure or return it to ratepayers. Additionally, Mayor Carbone will be tabling a Mayoral Minute to support the acceptance of all forms of energy, including gas, and encourage investment across the city.
Save the date for the iconic Cabramatta Moon Festival! Join us on Sunday, September 17th, 2023, for a journey to the moon and back. This festival is a stellar event that showcases the vibrant culture and spirit of our community.
We want to acknowledge and pay respect to the Cabrogal of the Darug Nation, who are the Traditional Custodians of this Land. We also honor and respect the Elders, both past, present, and emerging, of the Darug Nation.
Come and experience the wonders of Curran Park. Whether you're enjoying the festivities at the Cabramatta Moon Festival, participating in our community initiatives, or simply taking in the natural beauty of the park, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
