"Reasonably good but watch them to ensure they do not cut corners. Firstly, pool companies have a bad name. For instance a friend's wife was bullied into paying $17,000 extra as they arrived with the cement truck & said they will drive away if she did not sign. Husband at work & she signed. After court action, they got a refund. That pool company's pools might come in a beautiful Blue & say they are a Haven, but stay away. Back to Corfu. One of the better companies in a ratty unreputable industry. Soil test said no need for piers as they found bedrock. They said THEIR engineer would amend my builder's engineering drawings (as the builders engineer was busy & take a week). Will cost $1,000 & I said ok. What I get back is a printout of builders drawing with hand drawn notes saying 'no piers'! That's it for a fee of $1,000! Plus, THEIR engineer reduced the pool wall thickness from 200mm to 150mm. I did not ask for that & 200mm may have been overkill, but it was designed that way & price had been quoted on that volume of concrete. Pool has not cracked so look like it worked out ok. Lucky. Why did they do it? Saved them $765 by using less concrete. On the day of installation, they did not have material for an expansion joint between pool and concrete patio (must have forgotten to bring some?) & went ahead anyway. Not correct according to builder, but patio has not cracked so I guess not much movement/expansion. Lucky. Location pf pool equipment was planned next to pool. We agreed that it was better 10m further away. Contract had a fee for additional pool pipe length based on distance BUT they wanted that fee per pipe (there would be 6 pipes in parallel, 2 for filter, 2 for heater, 2 for robo pool cleaner). They argued (contract was very clear) & to not hold up the job as summer was approaching I said ok. More $$$ into their pocket. The one way valves so the pump stays primed were installed underground & now have pavers on top. I should have watched this & had the valves put where the pool pipes are above ground (so they can be services & cleaned of leaves get stuck). I asked for a variation to the pump. A variable speed instead of fixed speed. They charged $500 extra which including the budget allowed for in the contract made the pump $200 more expensive that me buying it off the shelf. For the first few months I had to prime the pump with a garden hose each time I cleaned the pump basket. Finally I discovered the pipe from the pump was just slipped on and they had forgotten to glue it. Sloppy attention to detail & sloppy work. Overall a good company, just watch the construction so they do not take any short cuts."
