Welcome to Nightingale 2.0, a unique and innovative institution located at Fairfield, Railway Place, 30 in Australia. Conceived by Six Degrees Architects and delivered in collaboration with HIP V. HYPE, Nightingale 2 is the second completed Nightingale project, offering a truly exceptional living experience.

Situated next to Fairfield Railway Station in Melbourne's north, Nightingale 2 enjoys a prime location with excellent connectivity. Its rare 'island' site allows abundant natural light and cross-ventilation throughout the building, ensuring a refreshing and comfortable atmosphere for all residents. Each apartment boasts north-facing living areas, while the bedrooms offer stunning views to the south.

Six Degrees Architects envisioned a unique architectural design for Nightingale 2, with the mass of the building material interrupted down the center and across the skyline. This design element allows greenery to emerge through the core and rooftop, creating a harmonious blend between nature and the built environment. The open, external walkways not only enhance the aesthetics but also provide a sense of engagement with the vibrant street below. Passers-by can catch a glimpse of the timber accents that add warmth to the sturdy concrete facades.

At Nightingale 2, we deeply value and respect the Indigenous heritage of the land on which we stand. We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which Nightingale 1 stands. We recognize their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture. Nightingale Housing, a not-for-profit organization, is committed to working on Wurundjeri Country, and we proudly display our NoCO2 certification #N376ACN 649 301 011.

We also pay our respects to Elders, both past and present, and acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia. Nightingale Housing is located on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri/Woiwurrung people of the Kulin Nation, and we recognize and respect their abiding connection to this land, its waterways, and community.
