Apartment is very modern and clean and everything you need is supplied, huge king size bed and very spacious apartment. Landlord Sue was a delight and accommodating. "Stunning!! Thankyou so much to Susan at Beachside Apartments for a lovely relaxing time. We have a big family, and needed a place to stay that would be clean and easy. We are so glad we could stay in one of your appartment. Susan was so lovely and helpful to us. And the key code meant we didn't need to worry about a key. Also, right by the beach, which my children LOVED! All in all, i would recomend choosing an apartment over a motel room any day. We could cook our dinner, It was spacious, and private. We were able to do everything that we wanted to do during our stay. I was impressed with the door code system which meant I didn't have to worry about keys or cards. Susan Elliott was very welcoming and helpful, wanting to make sure our stay was a pleasant one. We will definitely look at coming again."
"I had booked the apartment more than 6 months in advance on their website via credit card and paid in full. The booking was confirmed immediately and I received a door unlock code. On arriving in the afternoon the day before my wedding, the unlock pin opened the door to the balcony suite. On ascending the stairs my eyes met a lady at the kitchen table. She looked at me confused and I at her, and we discovered that we had been double booked. On trying to ring the manager of the property Susan Elliot she did not reply and I left a pursed lipped message on the machine. So we waited, getting angrier by the minute outside of the property with the other customer and I calling the contact number and getting nowhere. After about 40 minutes a BMW pulled up and an older lady approached us. It was the property owner/manager. She was unable to explain to me why there were other persons in the apartment we had booked so far in advance. (The other customer had revealed that they had booked only weeks before.) She stated that she had had to make some changes to our booking as the A/C in the balcony suite was not functioning. She seemed baffled as to why I had the unlock code to the the number 2 apartment door on the left. She showed us another property courtyard suite and claimed that this was the same price as the balcony suite. When asked why I had not been contacted she stated that she did not have my phone number. Yet she had accidently called me instead of my sister the week before in relation to her booking in the same row of apartments. I told her she was lying and she immediately became defensive and as the arguement became more heated basically demanded we leave and that she "didn't want us here", "as is her right". My husband to be said that was fine and that we would leave when she returned the money paid for services unrendered, as it was the day before our wedding we needed the money to secure other accomodation in the area. Susan stated she couldn't do that. I was about to explode, we were going around in circles and we had no choice but to take the room. My maid of honour and her partner also being present were able to calm myself and her and were curious of their own booking for the following day. So we stayed and were not happy. As it turned out, Susan and her husband were the cleaning team. There were disinfectant stains embedded in the toilet seat and I was not sure I wanted to step into the bathtub to shower. Nowhere was there a tea towel, a saucepan, or a frypan to cook on the portable electric stove top. Later the first evening I received a phone call from Susan having not given her my "number". She was busily confabulating again. She offered us the balcony suite that was empty for the following night, our wedding day, stating that the weather would be cooler, so we wouldn't need the A/C, the workmen would be out and the other customers would be out all in one conversation. I don't think Susan's memory is very good. You really don't know what to believe. She states she will ring me back after she speaks to the current inhabitants to find out what time they would be vacating the next morning. I did not hear from her that evening. The next morning I am busy with the preparations for my wedding day when Susan comes to the door stating the balcony suite would be cleaned and ready for us in a few hours. She took the time to insist I sign the credit card docket. After her and her husband cleaned the suite, my hair and make artist and bridal party moved up to the balcony suite. My sister, friend and maid of honour had booked the other rooms and so together we were able to get on with the day. The boys stayed in the original suite and began their preparations. The day was humid and though the natural light was better in the balcony suite we could have done with a working air conditioner. I would not recommend the facilities or dealng with Susan Elliot to any one that asks. Especially if you have a non Anglo name."
