"Loved this pub was such a great atmosphere was so nice to hear our native language being spoken couldn't help feeling sad not being able to chime in and actually speak to the bar man and locals in our own language. The Guinness pints are worth travelling for!!"
"Very good"
"If there is smoke from the chimney, the pub is open. (Even without smoke, it still might be open.) We pulled in about 6 PM on a Friday. We were the only car in the parking lot and questioned if the pub was open as there were no lights on. But there was smoke coming from the chimney. As we got out of the car a slender old man propped open the door and stuck his head out and then disappeared back inside. We followed him in and asked if he was open for business. He said he was. We all had a pour and then sat by the fire. He sat with us and chatted for a while, about the old times and about the hardships of business ownership nowadays. This is the experience of "having a pint in an old small town Irish pub" we were looking for. Gems like this become harder to find in any county."
