"This is a small heritage centre with quite a few exhibits. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. There are plenty of walks on the grounds to take advantage of. There is also a lovely cafe to grab some hot or cold food and hot or cold drinks. Take it easy on your way in and stick to the speed limit, there are some potholes leading up to the centre."
"During my time in Mayo, I stumbled upon the Enniscoe Looped Walks and was pleasantly surprised. You can find the looped walks at the North Mayo Heritage Centre. Unfortunately when I visited during the pandemic, the centre was closed but the looped walks were still accessible. The Enniscoe Loop Walks is accessible from the car park, and offers 3km of walks through peaceful forests along Lough Conn. During rainy weather, it would be a good idea to bring along some wellingtons because the footpath can get quite muddy. Should the Genealogy centre be open when you visit, you’ll have the opportunity to trace your family routes in Mayo. There is also a museum available at the centre which displays a variety of agricultural and domestic artefacts found in Mayo. While you are there, also if it is open, there is cafe and walled garden you can visit."
"Lovely walks. But walled gardens needed a bit of TLC and it was early August and cafe was closed. Pity as lots of potential especially in the vegetable gardens. Would easily pay more per person to have a guide walk around and explain and sample various fruit and veg that were growing. My children wanted to know so much but i didn't have the knowledge. Missing a trick there i think."
"Just done the green loop walk, sooo nice this time of year!!"
