Reviews
"It was okay but the walls are very thin I could hear the person next door snoring all night and anyone walking by their conversation can be heard very clearly even if talking lowly. My shower was also broken which is not great when staying for 4 nights, had to use the bath instead. Food was lovely and the staff are amazing just the room was a little bit of a let down."
"I recently visited this hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was not what I expected. After waiting for 20 minutes, I was informed that they were only serving 3 courses for dinner and would not serve a single course meal. As someone who was looking forward to their food, I was disappointed that I couldn't order what I wanted. While I understand that restaurants have policies in place, I would have appreciated knowing about this beforehand, as it would have saved me time and inconvenience. I hope the restaurant considers informing their customers of such policies in advance to avoid similar situations in the future. Overall, the lack of flexibility and communication left a negative impression on me, and I'm not sure if I will be returning in the future."
"I wasn’t going to leave this review but I had received bad service on two occasions. One when the entire restaurant was empty and I was asked to leave my table and stand at the desk and wait to be seated, the restaurant was empty! The second time was today when I arrived and was seated, 15 minutes later ordered two main courses and then a while later was told I must order three courses, yet again I left and will never step foot inside this hotel again. Old fashioned and very bad service"
"Hotel is OK. Very old fashioned and the rooms were initially clean. The reception staff and the breakfast staff were lovely however it is not a four star. It is at the very most a decent 3 star. Rooms are seriously outdated and whilst clean when we arrived ,were not cleaned during our stay. Arrived at 7pm, was told no restaurant open for a private function and the bar wasn't serving food. So no food. Breakfast was OK but the coffees weren't great, food was average and the croissants the sat were lovely but on Sunday they were stale so I assume they were Sat's leftovers. Breakfast manager was lovely though a real asset. Parking lot full.but gave me a ticket foe the car park Room was cold TV didnt work"
"We were in Ballina for a family occasion, but were very dissapointed with the rooms. The shower was scalding and after trying to adjust it we finally asked reception to fix it which they did. The beds were not comfy and the bed linen was not appropriate no mattress protector and there were hairs on the sheets. The pillows were lumpy and small and the rooms were stuffy. There were roadworks going on outside so windows had to be left closed because of noise levels so wasnt possible to air room The food in the restaurant was good and tasty and service was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were outdated and the carpets and furniture were not appropriate especially the carpets were soiled and alot of wear and tear. The rooms were not what was up on the website so very misleading when booking. We had a lovely weekend for our family occasion in another venue but very let down by our accommodation and it was not worth the payment we put forward for it. Also we had to pay on arrival which I found disappointing, we also felt that they didnt trust us bearing in mind most of our family had booked for 2 nights . I wouldn't stay there again and overall I was very disappointed and let down by the bedrooms as we all needed a good rest leading up to our occasion and stress free nights sleep."
