"Amazing relaxing weekend. Steak on the first night was amazing 2nd night was tough. Breakfast was basic very little fruit asked for a banana ! I got the last one half rotten & none the following day, this is based on the price per night for a suite, could not avail of any of the treatments as was fully booked out for the weekend , so book well in advance before you arrive. If its a birthday weekend bring your own cake & candles, I asked for a small cake & a candle from the restaurant supervisor & we got a chocolate platter. We don't eat chocolate!!"
"We just had the most relaxing 2 nights at the hotel. I would recommend booking through the site as we got the Stay and Chill package at a very affordable price in the Heritage Suite. The spa is amazing from the staff to the views and the amenities. We both had the signature massage with a mini facial and it was the most thoughtful and relaxing hour. We topped our stay with the outdoor seaweed and spiced mud bath which was a great experience. My therapist Ashling was the nicest soul also which made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. We spent our whole morning in the SPA which was an amazing getaway, great to forget what time it is as you are called in for the treatments. The only downside we experienced is the dinner at the restaurant. It was included in the price of our stay for one night. The staff were great and the atmosphere is amazing however the quality of food did not meet our expectations. Perhaps we ordered the wrong items off the menu however if we were to pay for the dinner we would have not been amazed. I would love to see more locally sourced items on the menu and elevate it to add that great finishing touch which is sadly lacked. Overall, we loved our stay minus the dinner as breakfast was quite nice. We booked to come back for the same package in November and hoping to see improvements on the menu then. However if you are looking for a great relaxing two night stay this is definitely the place! Thank you to all staff, we look forward to seeing you in November."
"We had the Bartra suite. Huge room, beautiful views. Wonderful shower. Restaurant had good vegetarian options and the spa was great. We enjoyed a full body massage, seaweed bath and enjoyed the Jacuzzis. Really relaxing couple of days."
"All staff were so helpful and friendly. They could not do enough for us. Very relaxed atmosphere . We enjoyed our stay very much. Nothing was too much trouble. It was my daughters pre wedding meet up with family and friends. We all used the spa and had a treatment. Again this was a lovely experience. Well done to all ."
"5 stars for Room, Service and Location but an overall 4 star rating because of a couple of issues. Firstly the Hotel is fabulous and the setting is so picturesque. That said our thoughts are that the Hotels biggest asset is its fantastic and lovely people. They were caring and thoughtful while always professional and personal. We stayed for two nights and the food was 7 out of 10 overall. Dinner was 8.5 but breakfast was a 6 because the veggie option was only average at best and my scrambled eggs were undercooked and tasteless. The most disappointing thing was the fact I was charged €25 to use the jacuzzi despite paying a lot to stay in the hotel, this is a huge mistake as the amenities should be included in the price. Thanks to the great people who work here and its location I would recommend to my friends."
