"Staying at the lodge is pricey, but it's a fantastic experience. I loved the layout of the house for a big group, well equipped and lots of space. The bar room made it for me, with it's low ceiling, it has a great feel and it's the heart of the house. If you can bring a keg to hookup in the bar and get the full experience then do. We did kayaking while there and it was the most forgettable experience of it all. I love kayaking, but at €50 a head, I found it funny how little we did in the hour. Don't think anyone particularly enjoyed it, and it wouldn't have been difficult to add more games and make it more fun. However, swimming, jumping off the peir and using the 6+ person hot tub on the other hand were all great fun (and free). They've done a great job here. All in all this is an amazing experience, and the isolation makes it fantastic for any big group getaway. Would highly recommend, just not the kayaking."

"A short boat trip over was the start to a lovely weekend on this beautiful island. Panoramic views across the bay, wonderful to watch the boats slowly go by. Kayaking across calm waters before heading back to the lodge to laze in the hammocks. Watching the sunset in the evenings as we chilled out around the fire pit, it was such a relaxing weekend."

"We booked the island for our best friend's hen weekend, it was amazing from start to finish. Ciaran was an absolute pleasure to deal with, answered all our questions and provided recommendations for taxi's, food and entertainment. We stayed on the island for the full weekend and we weren't bored for a second with the hot tub, water sports and the two piece Irish trad band that joined us for an evening. The house was really clean, easily fitted in our party of 21 and was equipped with everything we needed for the weekend. The views are also incredible of the bay and Croagh Patrick but there are no words for how beautiful sunset is from the highest point on the island. Would 200% recommend!!"

"Collanmore lodge is a great spot for a stag party! Bear in mind you will have to fill the house with food and drinks, which can be a bit unpleasant when making the short journey by boat in the rain. Amazing views and very peaceful in good weather"

"Tremendous fun. A group of 18 of us stayed at Collanmore lodge for two nights over New Year's Eve. The lodge is in phenomenal location in beautiful Clew Bay. A huge amount of work has obviously gone into creating a fun island paradise. The lodge itself is warm and welcoming with a huge kitchen / dining / living area which easily accommodated our group for cooking and eating meals. The hot tub and sauna were welcome relief after refreshing dips off the pier. The private Irish pub in the centre of the room was the real highlight - we had our own keg of Guinness to get us through the weekend and added to the unique experience of our stay. Ciaran could not have been more helpful and accommodating throughout. We can't wait to find another excuse to visit the island - and would love to go during the Summer to make full use of the water based activities. Can't recommend highly enough."
