"Best thing about the place is the staff. They're helpful, pity the former manager Eoin isn't around anymore. The owners seem quite oblivious to the gym as the dated equipment is only refurbished on the seats and pads instead of new equipment being brought in. For the amount they ask for memberships you'd want top end equipment. The equipment has been the same for years, only a matter of time before a machine cable snaps while in use (update: cable snap on the smith machine had one side of it out of order for nearly two weeks) The dressing rooms have mold in some of the lockers, showers can be quite bad with hair and stuff stuck in the drain, it's a lottery to get a hot shower, the sauna and steam rooms have an odd odour and are very dated also. There are better facilities around."
"Iv been a member here for the last few years because it’s convenient for me to come off nights and my work place is close by but the leisure club it’s self isn’t good they don’t supply the basic essentials like shower gel nothing, there is something broke every week without fail the lockers are falling apart on the inside, the showers are hot or cold the doors don’t close properly in the showers the pool is cold one week then the steam room or the jacuzzi may not work the following week,no lights on in the pool since the electricity hike ,then you show up at the door to be told there is a complete power cut you can’t go in,now with new management they are taking on two many classes, of a Saturday morning they have two back to back kids lessons so you have about 20 children and the parents sitting around the jacuzzi you can’t walk in or out of the changing rooms because there isn’t enough room three showers two hairdryers one toilet so they can’t facilitate everyone, my advice is stay well away ."
