The Jerpoint Apartment , Jerpoint West, County Kilkenny R95 PN84

"The place was very nice and just situated about 3 minutes from the station. Michael and sheila were the loveliest hosts and they attended to all our requests especially myself as I had fake tan on me and I didn't want to be destroying the bedding so I asked for old ones and they said we were the 1st to ask this request as they were having issues with other guests having tan and make up all over the walls, so anyone else who may be staying here for weddings, do not hesitate to ask for different bedding out of respect for the hosts. My only complaint was that the place was freezing and that he would only put the heating on for about half an hour which costs more that way, leaving it on for long term is going to cost them less, he mentioned to my partner to make sure that we turned off all the lights. If anyone wants to stay here avoid thomastown, there wasn't any shops cafés or pubs opened the place looked like a ghost town we managed to find a chippy eventually and a shop but we were glad to get back to the apartment so it would be better to get the train into killkenny city or Waterford at least you will get something from your stay ..... Michael and Sheila are lovely hosts but we won't be in any rush to go back to thomastown"

"Our stay was lovely, the owner picked us up at the train station and then took us into the town to get a few bits in for the apartment as it was self catering ... it was lovely upon arrival but my only complaint was that he was reluctant about putting on the heating, Michael said people usually grab an extra duvet from the press and snuggle up, he was a very nice man but a miserable so and so, sorry Michael but other than that they really couldn't do enough for us, Michael and Sheila. The weather was just lovely when we were there and the view was just stunning.... for people who want to stay here... do not go into Thomastown, there wasn't a single shop in the place to go out and get something to eat, pubs were closed cafe's etc... even people who are from there were surprised when we told them that nothing was opened luckily we found a chipper and a shop across the street and soon as we were finished we went straight back to the apartment so arrange to go into Kilkenny city or Waterford, it's just 15 minutes on the train... I liked the apartment but not Thomastown, I'll not be in any desire to go back anytime soon."
