"To my understanding, it is a normal residential quarter. It accommodates students and some private individuals temporarily and to some extent, accommodations are rented out on long term basis. Neat, quiet, pleasant to live and friendly environment to be. Above all, security of everyone is guaranteed."

"Thomond Village is one of the few places that really made me feel that I had the best of an irish countryside experience. As a newbie student coming to a foreign country for the first time was really a big hurdle but thanks to the staff and the authorities of the thomond village who made my stay so convenient and refreshing. Moreover the best part was the amazing location with the european vives where u get to meet people from different nationalities to have the best international exposure ."

"I'm really disappointed in my stay here and would not recommend anyone to stay here! I would only recommend to stay here if you like to pay overpriced rent and really bad living conditions. The rent is between 750-650€ per month depending on what room you choose, plus electricity which was around 45€ per month for me. You can easily find a room to rent in the city for 400-500 € a month, including electricity. I had mold three times in my room, the first time it was really bad. I had mold on my clothes and on my suitcases. The two other times it was black mold on the paint in my bathroom and bedroom. I also had water dripping from my room outside my bathroom three times and the maintenance said the fixed the problem every time but apparently not... Thomond village is located far from the city center and if you study at UL the morning shuttlebus takes around 30 minutes and the city bus takes around 45min-1h. The village is also located in a pritty dogdy area, even the Irish students I have talked to at UL think so. The guards who work at thomond village is always grumpy and unhelpful it feels more that they work against you than towards you. The rules are too strict and you can talk to the reception that says one thing and then when they leave the guards say another thing. The reception tell you that they will help but you often have to wait for a long time before it is fixed. Lastly I would say to not trust the the pictures on their website, they are heavily styled and all the rooms and appartments look different. This is my experience, some people has gotten away better but most people I talked to where also really disappointed in what they got compared to what they payed for. If you study at UL try to find student accommodation on the campus and if it's full or you study at TUS try to find something to sub rent in the city center or someware else! DO NOT STAY HERE!"

"Great place to stay. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The games room is very good with a variety of different things to do, the houses are spacious and comfortable and have prepay power so your energy usage can be monitored by yourself rather than getting a hefty bill at the end of the year. Would definitely recommend Thomond Student Village to anyone."
