"The most horrendous hotel ever! My husband booked two nights a few months back. We got there and be smell of must was horrific. There were blood stains on the bathroom floor. The room was unclean and old fashioned. Had to leave immediately. They also didn't give me my money back. STAY AWAY!!!"
"I rang and was told it was winter and it is closed. Ballybunion is closed you know I was told."
"The Golf Hotel!! Should be Renamed to faulty towers Hotel!!! Certainly the name is very Misleading as your initial Thoughts would be that it is part of the ballybunnion golf club....NOT!! very dated Rooms, you have to ask for the tea/coffee facilities From behind reception where they will give you a Tray to Take to your Room. Went Down for Dinner at 6pm to be told the chef had Not Arrived in yet, we went to the bar for a Drink and there was no bar staff, we had to ask the receptionist to get us a Drink!!!! Only a couple of taps Connected so if you like Heineken your fine!!! No till in the Registerer!!! ;-) untrained young staff who had to come in and out to the table after you ordered to say this and that were no Longer available From the menu, Very slow!! Total lack of management in the Hotel. We do have to thank the receptionist 'Veda' as she was very helpful and was doing everyone's job.. at One stage we could have gone in behind the bar and Served ourselves for the night. We met a couple From cork who we Laughed with all night at the ridiculous Running of this Hotel... it was an EXPERIENCE to say the least. Will not be returning to this Hotel anytime Soon. Ballybunnion Itself is Lovely and the beach is fabulous... definitely book into another Hotel!!!! no need for high heels and Dresses in this place Ladies!!!!"
"I recently stayed in this hotel and it was without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in if you notice from the website which is completely misleading that there are no pictures of the actual hotel itself simply because it is hideous. The rooms are in need of refurbishment with holes in the doors that have never been fixed to smoke alarms hanging off the ceiling and electrical points that crackle when you turn them on at night I was afraid to leave anything plugged in incase of fires, there also didn't seem to be access for wheel chairs because everytime we came back with the pram we had to carry it up all the steps."
