"Killaloe Luxury Pods August 2022 review. A joke! Run down place. Nothing like you see in the photos on AirBnb. Many of the photos are from maybe 5-10 years ago. Certainly did not look like that in 2022. Pvc peeling on the exterior. Old cracked wood decking, would not step on that. Place has not been painted in what 5 years. Dirty tub with water smelling a bit. Privacy screens made of left over pallets not even painted well. Pure Luxury indeed. Looks like a halfass job in construction and the flat roof does not give me confidence. The first impression was, I had arrived at a cheap trailer camp as seen in the distance. The room is so small you can barely make 2steps and you are in the toilet. You arrive at a dirt road made of sharp stone, not a path for your pets and there is nowhere to walk. There are no paths , just a field of weeds and a lake in the distance.Lake is so far away might aswell look at a postcard. All in all 2 out of 10. 2 because it does have a hottub afterall. Needs at least another few thousands in upgrades to make it even anyway presentable. Remove LUXURY out of the name and call it NEAR A LAKE CONTAINER WITH A TINY HOTTUB. For the crazy money they are asking, just go into a hotel. Complete disappointment. Spend 3h in traffic and ton of gas to check out this nonsense of irish engineering. All these reviews of 5 star must be posted by their friends, I do not see how anyone would think these are nice, let alone luxury. I left! Expectations: an airy glass sunny room near a lake Reality: Run down badly build half container with zero privacy by the side of a dirt road a mile away from a lake. Amen! Photo 1 of 1"

"Myself and my husband had the most incredible time at the Killaloe Luxury Pods. The pods were beautiful, modern and had everything you need for a relaxing trip. The hot tub with the beautiful scenery made it for us. We last minute booked in for another night and the owner Ed could not of done more for us. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a special trip."
