"Martha and family provided the most welcoming, helpful, and complete B&B experience of my short tour of West Ireland. The accommodation itself is basic (reflected in the price) but comfortable enough (separate TV lounge with comfy chairs was preferable to a TV in the room, for me). The breakfast was as good as any, at whatever time you want it. She had all the time in the world to answer my pesky "foreigner" questions, no matter how much I was interrupting her busy day. Yet every chat was enjoyable, lasted as long as I wanted, and I was not just tolerated, but genuinely welcomed. The Sixmilebridge location is perfect as a base for touring most of Western Ireland, from Galway, Burren, West Clare, Lough Derg, Kerry, even as far as Cashel and maybe Cork. I suspect the fishing tackle and biking businesses run alongside the B&B, suggest most folk would stay here for different reasons... Oh, and if you do decide to stay here, have a close look at the signature on the artwork decorating the walls..."
