"Really, really like the Jolly Roger and always enjoy visiting... but come on guys, put on a pot of soup and cut up some brown bread.... so when you're asked have you anything to eat, you won't have to keep pointing at the bags of Tayto! It must be getting embarrassing!"
"Currently the only pub open on Sherkin. Good atmosphere. Short walk from Sherken pier, but recommend you take a good walk around Shrkin to work up a thirst beforehand. Local musicians most Sunday afternoons. Beautiful views across the harbour to Baltimore. Late afternoon and evening views can be spectacular. Last ferry during July/Aug departs Sherkin 20.45, but you can make arrangements with the ferry for a "special" (extra cost) beforehand."
"Great pint of Guinness!! Lovely chowder too. Róisín was very welcoming. We're looking forward to making it back at some stage soon. We were there all day Saturday and didn't want to leave We missed out on the Sunday Session because we had to leg it for the ferry, but next time that's a must. Thanks again Róisín. Ian and Laura."
"What a lovely and welcoming pub after a quick hike. The chowder was my absolute favourite, not a bad pint of Guinness either ;) - I hope you take the opportunity to stop in and enjoy a much deserved break."
"Old Ireland alive and well in sherkin's Jolly Roger. Locals gather for a session, playing old traditional tunes. Good pub grub, a short walk to the ferry."
