"The Chipper Van is a great little local chipper located between on the N22 half way between Ballyvourney and Macroom. Staff and Service: The staff are friendly and the service was very fast! I noticed a sign mentioning that they do food for parties! Food: We ordered a cheese burger each with ketchup and onions and a large chip to split between us and a tub of curry sauce to dip our chips! The burgers were great and had a nice beefy taste! The onions were nice and chunky compaired to what you get in other chipper and they had a lovely beefy taste as they were cooking with the burgers! It was everything I wanted in a beef burger from a small chipper at the side of the road! The chips were chunky and chrispy with the portion size being very generous for the large chip! The curry sauce had the perfect kind of spice to it and it was thick enough that when you dipped a chip it stayed on the chip and didn't drip off and onto your clothes as you ate! Atmosphere: On the day that we were bere I would say that it was okay. We used the table and benches that were in the car park and enjoyed our food but it was nothing special. Thankfully it was a lovely dry day bit I can see some appeal to sitting here during the summer when the weather is warn and just grabbing a bag of chips and having the chats with some friends. Location: The Chipper Van is located in the car park of The Mons Bar at the side of the N22 road. There is a sign for fresh free range eggs across the road at the back of the car park which I thought was a nice local quirk! Overall Opinion: If I am being honest my expectations were at a medium level as the appearance of a small chipper at the side of the road wouldn't fill me with confidence! However, I have passed The Chipper Van for years and I always wondered about the business for the simple fact that it has remained in business in such a location! This always made me think that it must be good to say that it was still there every time that I passed! I am totally glad that we finally stopped and tried it! The cheese burger with those chunky onions in my opinion was the best road side burger that I ever had! I definitely recommend that you give the cheese burger a try! I notice that a load of reviews rave about the fish and chips from here. So much so that the next time I decide to stop I am going to give it a try! One thing is for sure though, I'm going to get a small chip as I was like a stuffed potatoe after the large chip!"

"Got fish & chips here last night 11/10. Absolutely gorgeous. Loads of chips. Daughter had gougons and sausages said they were really nice. Man working there very nice. Highly recommended."
