"The Whitehorses was a pleasant experience, especially since we were seated outside on a sunny day. The food was delicious, and the staff was welcoming, taking good care of their guests. The atmosphere of the restaurant was good, just like the overall experience. Highly recommended, can't wait to visit again!"
"Ate lunch here on 24/04/2023. 2 mains 2 deserts, 2 teas and a glass of wine - €74.85. We got a great welcome, were seated inside quickly and comfortably; the service throughout was friendly efficient and unobtrusive throughout. Cleanliness was good - the fan in the gents WC needs attention. It was most satisfactory that White Horses has maintained its standards despite the pandemic. Well done to all. It was a pleasure to again enjoy a memorable meal in Ardmore. I wish there was a “White Horses” in every village and town I visited."
"I booked a table for 5 for my birthday. The food was delicious and the cheesecake and chocolate fondant received great reviews :) We also tried the sausage tree vodka which is a local vodka from Longford and is made from potatoes. If you are vegetarian your options are limited and most likely you ll be ordering sides and mac and cheese. Staff appreciates you being on time on busy days like the weekend."
"The prices for what you get are ridiculous. €28 the cheapest option for a main course which was Chicken Curry or a Vegetarian Crepe! It's hard to understand how anyone could charge €28 for either of those but that's where we are in rip off Ireland. The food itself was fine but the steaks had a lot of fat on them and even though we asked for the steaks (3) to be cooked differently, all three came out the same, medium rare! This restaurant doesn't have any Michelin Stars but the prices would indicate they think they deserve one, they don't! This is the type of restaurant where locals with plenty of money and regulars like to be seen and are well looked after. Anyone else gets the two dodgy tables just inside the door and service of a different nature. The decor of the restaurant is dated and needs a complete makeover. There are secondhand books all over the shelves which makes it feel like your eating in a charity shop at times. My overriding feeling after spending €168 for two adults and two kids with no alcohol was that it was an enormous waste of money. My two kids said they felt uncomfortable in there but it was a special occasion so we stayed. I go to this village all the time but I will never eat in this restaurant again."
"Great restaurant!!! Amazing food! After a Cliff Walk we enjoyed their lunch set so much! Very tasty food and delicious deserts! Restaurant interior is very cozy and cute! Very friendly waiters! Highly recommended:)"
