"Just home from a wonderful stay in Cork. We stayed at the Emerson house for 3 nights and throughly enjoyed every moment. From the moment we walked through the door Cyril had us feeling at ease, such a fantastic host with an extreme knowledge of the city and surrounding areas. His suggestions of where to eat, drink and visit with out a doubt was spot on. Our room was so elegant, spacious and very comfortable. The ensuite was clean and tidy, not a huge space but I'm a big guy and I had plenty of room to move about, the shower was powerful and just what the doctor ordered after a days walking around the city. Our breakfast was just beautiful. To start freshly sliced fruit, a choice of yoghurt and cereals. The main act the cooked breakfast, well, wow just simply scrummy. Thick cut bacon, a chunky sausage, white and black pudding, tomatoes, fried egg with toast, wheaten bread and as much tea and coffee you can drink. If you haven't booked here yet get booking you certainly won't be disappointed. The B&B is up a steepish hill but there is a good bus service that goes past the house which stops just up from the property. The services are numbers 207 & 208."
