"Worst place I've ever stayed. Owner was helpful at first but a bit excessive, however when me and a friend ordered food to be delivered at 11pm we rang reception to inform the owner, we were greeted by "do you realise what time it is? Do not call me again" in one of the most disgusting tones I've ever came across. That night I was shocked to find that my friends bed pillows were wet and smelt like sweat, the sheets were disgusting & stained. In the morning the food was excellent however again the owner was rather rude when my friend asked for more cereal he gave him a strange grumpy look and then proceeded to hand him a massive bowl full of cereal (which I thought was quite passive aggressive). After leaving (leaving my key on the counter in the hallway as the owner was nowhere to be seen - thankfully), I returned later in the day to get my iPhone charger back which I had left in the room. I was told that the room was "trashed" there was food everywhere & that a hole was burnt in the bedsheet which "cost €50 to replace" and that Jerry (the owner) "had to hire a cleaner", also that there were stains on the bed, I then apologised but made it clear that whatever was wrong with the room had been there before, which was unfortunately true. He then replied "I don't want an apology I want my €50" & refused to give me back my phone charger unless I paid the fee. I would've been happy to pay this fee however I was not responsible for his failure to notice the faults with the room before I had arrived, as for the hole being burnt in the sheet he later changed his story to say we cut a hole in the mattress cover. Neither of these are true. When I arranged for a family member to call him later he said 3 or 4 times that he did and didn't have the charger & when told he'd get his money if he gave the charger back he said "okay" and when asked why he said he didn't have it before, he said "well I do". Ridiculous behaviour for a B&B owner. Avoid at all costs! Appalling B&B owner Jerry - why the owner has to scam people out of more money to keep the establishment going I have no idea (Stayed July 2014)"

"The place is rather old and everything is a bit inclined and aslope. Still very charming. Very central. Train station just round the corner, hop-on bus just up the road. Veeery friendly welcome and service! Thanks a lot!"

"Exceptional service!! The lady who looked after us all was delightful! She smiles all the time. Nothing is a problem for her and she goes out of her way to make sure guests are happy and have all they need. She's exceptional and makes me want to come back!"
