"Atmospheric property overlooking city and River Lee. Rooms are spacious and well kept. Beds were hard and could be more comfortable. Food offering was average overall. The roast beef special was tough and breakfast on the first morning with cold fatty bacon a disappointment. The staff are friendly at reception. The departure was efficient however I don’t quite understand why I was not asked how I enjoyed my stay! Overall I believe the property to be good value, location and parking are a benefit. The restaurant offer needs refined and staff a little more attentive. Worthy of its 4 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"Had a wonderful stay here. Perfect location, it is on a hill but we walked down into Cork no problem and got a taxi back which was less than 10 euros but it is walkable. Lovely warm welcome with really friendly staff. We got a complimentary room upgrade which was amazing. The room was huge, it even had a balcony with a view of Cork. They even left us a dessert plate for our anniversary which was a lovely touch. We didn't eat in the Hotel but we used the bar which was nice, quiet really but we sat at the bar and chatted with the bar staff. Onsite parking included. Great checkout also. Highly recommend, it's a lovely Hotel with friendly and helpful staff."

"Food was not good. Waited over one hour for food, when it arrived it was cold with under cooked veg. Overpriced also. Waiting staff were very nice but kitchen staff very rude when asked to heat a hot chocolate brownie which was served cold! . Will not dine here again. Also no Christmas atmosphere, measly decorations, none on tables. Could do a lot better. Also no toilet paper in toilets, when reception were informed they said use another one! Come on guys, this is supposed to be 4 star!!"

"We had a fantastic room with a balcony overlooking the city. Very clean, & a decent size. The package included cocktails on arrival and 2 course meal. 10 minute walk into town. Dinner was fabulous. Overall it was an excellent experience. We will go again."

"Hotel location was good. Check in was smooth. Carpet falling off main stairs. Paint peeling in the bathroom, wasn't tiled well. No fan in bathroom. Front door very loud, could clearly hear from room. Mo water in the room to drink. Food in the restaurant was really poor. Chicken in salad was so dry and overcooked, and the black pudding was the same. Breakfast was not good either. Overall for a 4 star hotel it was a bad stay. Should be a 2/3 star max."
