"I find it one of the most picturesque villages in England. Old cottages covered in roses and wisteria look fairy tale’ish. Splendid terraces I’m the garden offer views of the valley with the river and emerald grass. Lovely to have a cup of tea watching life as it was hundreds years ago."
"A beautiful village with great character and history. Lots of options for walks and a free public carpark at the top of the hill. Follow the road down and you can walk along the stream and see more of the cute buildings. There’s several pubs in the village where you can grab a drink or a bite to eat. In the evening we could see bats swooping over the water, it was great fun watching them."
"Great place to visit all day. It has free parking just before entering the village, otherwise it is difficult to find parking entering the village. Has a hotel restaurant or pub style dining (both are very good). They are also incredible graphics to walk around and take lots of pictures! In the church there is one of the oldest clock mechanisms. It's a great choice if you want to take a day trip or combine it with Bath."
"Wanted to visit Castle Combe first in the afternoon (of a Saturday of a bank holiday weekend), but it was so crowded here that I couldn't even find a parking spot after having driven around for some 20 minutes. 1 star. That's why I decided to give it another go in the evening, and the contrast couldn't have been any bigger. Nice and quiet, which makes the town look at its best. 5 stars. Average score: 3 stars."
"It's such a beautiful village to actually stroll and relax. We visited castle Combe to mainly to get a nice picture by the picturesque streets. Unfortunately for us, the scaffolding was up ruining all the pictures we tried to take. Apart from that, the walk from the Combe carpark to the market center was nice. The weather was perfect. I'll definitely get back here again to take the signature castle Combe picture by the bridge."
