"This members only facility will only allow non-members when accompanying a member on a guest pass. That said, there’s a good mix of indoor & outdoor amenities. Hot tubs, pools & a range of hot & Himalayan salt based saunas, aromatic steam rooms, relaxation rooms, clean showers with supplied body wash, coupled with a restaurant, Co-working spaces, outdoor patio & ample parking- this is a wonderful place to visit for the whole family. Cherry on top: no aggressive & constant sales pitches!"
"This is my new "home club" where my membership is based, this is purely geographical. I prefer the Ashton Court club even though it's meant to be a lower grade. I'm not a huge fan of the lay out of this club. To go between the locker rooms/pool/spa area and the gym you have to go through the main lobby/restaurant area and up the stairs. I much prefer the clubs when the whole gym/pool area is kept serperate from the club house areas. They gym is modern and in good condition, it's not been overlybusy since I've been going like others have complained about. Pool and spa area are really good, very large spa particularly. Two different saunas, steam room and a giant jacuzzi. There's definitely an ice shower but not seen a plunge pool yet. This area is platinum membership only. As others have complained it does have a lot of screaming children, especially young kids. Very hard to enjoy the club room and their self entitled parents seem to let's them run off to the other side away from them to disturb people who haven't got kids. Ashtons the better gym and you can go with platinum membership too."
"Definitely not value for money. They are only interested in getting new members. They do not look after the ones they already have. They charge a fortune because they know that there isn’t anywhere else like it, around. I like the fact I can use the pool at any time they are open. Other pools, unfortunately have strict timetables that don’t always suit when I can go. The restaurant has gone downhill and they keep blaming it on new staff. I mean…if the staff are leaving all the time, that should tell you whether the place is any good or not! If I want to leave, I need to give 3 months notice. Yet in January their fees are going up but they won’t tell me how much by. So currently, I have no idea if I will be able to afford it. Where is there 3 months notice? Some staff are excellent and deserve praise. Others, make it very clear that they couldn’t care less if you’re happy as a customer or not."
"It's a lovely club, I joined with my partner back in December 2021. It's really nice to have a variety of spa facilities available after a long gym session or a swim. The food is lovely too. With that being said, there have been numerous times where we haven't been able to do a workout/go for a swim due to the club being overcrowded. It seems as though there are way too many members for one club, and it would help if they introduced a 'number of people in the club' counter upon entry into the club which could be seen on the app (similar to what Puregym do). This would really help us plan our time better as it's a shame to turn up only to find that everything is being used. When it's busy, it's also really difficult to have food/drinks in the bar; the last time we were there, we were told that there would be a 25 minute wait just for a coffee. Maybe having specific family opening times/longer opening hours/restrictions on numbers of people in the club at any given time would make a change. Overall, it's a nice club, it's just very busy! I think at the moment due to the volume of members it's not necessarily worth the cost (as we're not using the gym as much as we would like to) and doesn't have that 'exclusive' feel, but I hope that some of the suggestions I've made above help!"
"I travel a lot so use david Lloyd clubs around the country. I visited this club. Nice facilities in the gym. Went to go for a steam room after a workout and was stopped and told I couldn’t use it as wasn’t a ‘platinum’ member. Massive let down and in my eyes just pure greed from this club especially when you pay over £100 per month and can’t use the spa. Went up to the cafe for some food. Ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad. Not good. Chicken was cremated and hardly any of it, caked in sauce and croutons. Absolutely heaving with screaming kids running everywhere. Manager obviously has his head elsewhere. Won’t be back here, total rip-off"
