"Fab. Good set up. Best to book. Slightly hard to work out when it is open or closed during the winter. You can buy accessories and hire a float."
"Great morning Swim around Cromhall Quarry. Booked online nice & easy. Wetsuit recommended. Lots of parking. Large changing tent, teas & coffees available. Benches outside to sit & watch or have a cuppa afterwards. Just jump straight in !! Update, today 17th July, water temp was 22 degrees at 09:00, just in swimmers, was perfect. Update: 18/09 water temp 18.7 degrees, tried the wetsuit today"
"Nice and cosy warm today with 20.5c in the first 8m and dropping to 15c to 15m Vis was 10m dropping to 6m"
"What a gem! Great for a swim and a chill after. 1 lap is 550 meters (apparently). Most people are in swimming wetsuits. It was 17 degrees (12 June 2022) apparently it'll be 25 in the summer. Book in (£6) before you go. Recommended!"
"I really enjoyed my first swim here and will certainly come again. The water in September wasn't very cold at all but most people wear wetsuits. It's a good idea to use a personal buoy, but if you haven't got one you can rent one. Buy a swimming ticket online then check in at the little office before swimming. Then just climb down the steps of the pontoon and start swimming. Everyone seems to go round the four big yellow buoys anti clockwise. If you head off too far to the left, you'll be in the diving area, which is not permitted for swimmers. After your swim, you can sit at the picnic tables to dry off. Good idea to bring a nice warm drink and snack."
