Very nice setting in the middle of the town. Parking, if available in the market square but 2 alternatives in short walking distances."
"Had a delicious family meal at The Oakhouse in Axbridge. The Sunday Roast chicken and beef and the vegetarian Wellington were lovely and clean plates all around. It was good that there were also menu choices other than Sunday Roasts available. We also all had desserts, which were again delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We'd definitely go again."
"Simply the best Sunday lunch in Somerset! We were out for a family day out to cheddar gorge and stopped off at The Oakhouse Hotel on our way home. The Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious. Next time we're in the area we'll definitely be returning."
"We stayed for 1 night. Very friendly and polite staff. We had to change rooms as there was an issue with the original one, this was arranged after some confusion but the extra bed had not been made up, staff stated there was no one available to do this so I had to go back to the old room and get the bedding and do this myself. The evening meal was not good at all, I had a cheese burger which was advertised as a fresh steak burger, this it was not! Tasted like a cheap frozen pattie which was very under cooked. Shame as the hotel has potential."
