"I had a lovely Sunday lunch with my mum here on Mother's Day. The food and service were outstanding and, although it was busy, the atmosphere was very calm and relaxed. Highly recommended. I'll be back soon!"
"We had a long wait for food on a recent visit and to be fair they didn't charge me for the mains of which by the way the food was amazing. Then I had email from the manager apologising for the experience we had and they offered me back for another meal free of charge and again the food was fantastic. I left a nice tip and will 100% be going back. All I can say is I am extremely impressed with there loyalty to customers and I highly recommend going you won't be disappointed. Thank you Bear & Swan"
"Lovely room and great food. Fish and chips was really tasty and the full English was excellent especially the sausage. The room was comfortable with an automatic light for the shower room. Shower was hot and powerful. Some people might struggle with the stairs up to the room I stayed in but was fine for me."
"Sunday lunch was absolutely beautiful. But the starter definitely needed some work. Croquette means elongated tube not just 3 tiny little balls. Flavours were there but bearing in mind 70% was potato 30% ox cheeks there could of been alot more on the plate for the money. Generally had a lovely time though. Thanks again"
"We had a great stay at the Bear and Swan. The rooms are clean and comfortable and all the staff were very nice. Most days we were there the food was incredible, except the last day for breakfast. I ordered the same breakfast I'd had two days before because it was so good and it just wasn't prepared to the same quality, eggs were undercooked and avocado wasn't seasoned, but all of our other meals (mostly small plates) were delicious. There was a lot of street noise the first night, but we realized on the second night that we hadn't closed the second set of windows, which made a huge difference. If we're ever back in the area we would definitely stay again."
