"We enjoyed the griddle steak & chips - quite salty but tasty. The begging ‘house dogs’ should be more. controlled ... one put its chin on partners lap and dribbled on their trousers. I mentioned the dogs to staff & suggested they ask owners to keep them under their table and was told they were the ‘house dogs’ !! ... allowed to roam freely. Sorry, the place may be ‘dog friendly’, but for me, restaurants and dribbling dogs do not go together."
"Had a brilliant experience here. The staff are so friendly and accomodating and the pub dogs are gorgeous! We came for lunch, had a few side plates each and left feeling thoroughly looked after and satisfied. Thanks to the two lovely ladies who served us today ❤️"
"Held my fathers 80th birthday party here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, especially the Halibut. Rooms were nice and cosy with large en-suite showers. The pub is dog friendly and there’s a lovely atmosphere especially when sitting by the fire near the bar. Highly recommended."
"Beautiful country pub. Friendly staff. Very dog friendly, lots of happy dogs about. My friend and I really enjoyed the food; chicken schnitzel followed by sticky toffee pudding for me, and chickpea burger followed by affogatto for her. Absolutely delicious; the schnitzel was beautifully crisp outside with tender chicken inside, and the sticky toffee pud sponge was light yet rich, with a lovely caramelised banana accompanying it. My friend is Italian and she raved about the affogatto, declaring it one of the best she's ever had!"
"Amazing! Every little detail and the staff and the rooms and the food are just lovely!! The scallops and the seabass were superb!!! We stayed the night and then just had to return the next night!! Also.... towel heaters and robes in the room? Heaven. The rooms are so pretty and quiet!! A gem!!!!!"
