"Terrible hotel. There's constantly noise, the rooms are not sound proofed, there's extract running all night, there's no isolation or turn off switch. The two bottles in the shower have so much dirty of them it was nasty to think they want people to shower using whats in those bottle. No towels in the room when we first entered. Had to call down. The cleaners only turned down the bed, nothing else was cleaned, left the towels in the shower, came back in the evening and had to call them to come replace the towels and clear out the bins. No signal at all - so you have to have the hotel call you a taxi etc and they make you feel like its a chore. WiFi is blocked from many sites - non explicit sites but the way things are blocked if there's one word in an article it just blocks the page. The TVs do not work as receivers are poor. There's an iron board but no iron. The mirror positioned in the room with no sockets - no where to plug in straightener."

"The service, location and grounds are exellent. But the place clearly needs a lick of paint (so to speak). The double bed in our room was very soft and well past its sell by date, the manager gave us a twin room as an alternative - which was much better. Breakfast was fine, but dinner poor. The 4.6 ranking was not a fair reflection. Perhaps the place just needs to get back up and running post Covid."

"A nice and well enough equipped hotel, in a lovely setting! The staff are very welcoming and extremely helpful, with good local knowledge and advice if requested. Our room was a good size for a couple. Comfortable bed, cable TV, fridge and tea making services and a good bathroom with shower. The breakfast options are good and the full English was really nice (especially the bacon)."

"First of all the location, it's near Bath and some lovely villages. Perfect for a getaway. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Martin was going out of his way to make us feel welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the personal welcoming note was a great touch. And the food, we only had breakfasts, was very tasty. If I'm ever in the vicinity, I'll definitely go here again and I would recommend it to friends and family."
