"Lovely gardens to sit nearby and enjoy a break. Just round the corner from the British museum."
"Bedford Square Gardens, I found out is a private garden space with key-holder status to Bloomsbury residents..the Georgian Town Houses surround the garden and have a substantial history dating back to 1775-1786 period..looking at the garden from the sidewalk area shows how beautiful the garden area looks..I walked around the entire square and then strolled to Russel Square Gardens.."
"This is a private park and we usually go here with friends that have access to the park. Recently went here for cocktails in the city (a summer event which is open to the public) and cannot recommend it enough!! There’s ice carving, cocktail making sessions, tequila and rum sessions, food carts, at least 10 cocktail places and more. A fantastic way to spend a summer evening!"
"Bedford Square is a garden square in Bloomsbury that was built in the late 18th century on land owned by the Duke of Bedford, hence the name. The surrounding buildings are all examples of Georgian Architecture and once housed man distinguished British occupants such as Lord Eldon, the longest serving Lord Chancellor. Now the buildings are mostly commercial buildings As for the gardens itself, it's only accessible to the residents, so if coming to see this place, all you can look at is some nice buildings. I'd recommend going to the nearby Russell Square or Tavistock Square instead for the architecture and you'd get to see the gardens as well."
"A "Jewell" in the crown of gardens! Stunning park with plenty of greenery & amazing history! Even the railing around this garden the original one from the 18th century. It's for private use only & you can only get in & out with a key. However once a year they host a Bedford Square Festival when the gate is open to public."
