"Nice art gallery not very popular. The place it's very cool inside and outside as well. In the lower level there is a Roman Amphitheater with history details, escalations and all historic info. Upper levels host temporary and permanent paintings exhibition. Absolutely suggested to spend lovely time not surrounded by caos as in the main art galleries and museums in London"
"This was the first Art gallery I went to in London and I loved every minute of it. It was on a quiet morning so I had time to pore over pieces and explore every nook I had access to. I think I ended up spending about two hours in all. I relish every minute of it. I even got to see the ruin of the Roman amphitheatre and Londonderry. The pieces have rich histories behind them, some are displayed together. The staff are also helpful when asked."
"what a great place. had very kind staff and a unique way of displaying the art (grouped by theme). they have a few guided tours in the day, but also participate on the Smartify app which is great to read more in depth about certain artworks. well worth a visit if you’re in City of London area. since the space includes tour of the Roman amphitheater it sits atop, there are quite a few educational and fun gifts related to Roman history in their gift shop."
"Great small museum with some spectacular pieces... Plus ruins of the Roman-era coliseum in the basement, discovered when the new gallery was built in the 1980s. Close to the Tower of London and other City of London sites and worth allowing 45-60 minutes for a visit. Free except for any special exhibits."
"Great art gallery in the heart of London. I came on an empty Monday afternoon and was really nice to stroll around and see the great works on show. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a lot to see even in such a small space. Would love to see a better gift shop focused on the gallery and history of London."
