Welcome to Kidsfirst Kindergartens Nuffield, located in Christchurch, New Zealand. Situated between the river, the sea, and the estuary in Central New Brighton, our kindergarten provides a unique setting that offers a strong connection to the natural environment.

As you approach our kindergarten, you'll notice our flags waving proudly, inviting you to come and explore. Behind our fence, you'll find a beautiful, big backyard where engaged children aged 2 to 5 years can be heard and seen enjoying their play.

Our outdoor area provides ample opportunities for challenging and physically active play, as well as a range of creative and sensory experiences. Inside, our learning environment is open, expansive, and inspiring, encouraging collaborative ways of working for our young learners.

At Kidsfirst Kindergartens Nuffield, children have the freedom to explore, connect with others, and learn through play. Visitors often comment on the calm, relaxed yet busy environment they observe as they enter our kindergarten. Children can be seen busy at work, making choices for play that engage them with the people, places, and things in our environment and community.

We support children in taking the lead in their own learning journey through innovation, inquiry, and hands-on learning and discovery. Our carefully selected range of resources ignites thinking and exploration. Learning occurs at each child's pace, acknowledging the unique qualities and potential our children bring with them.

To ensure consistency and allow our teachers to get to know your child, we recommend initially enrolling for at least two full days, gradually building up to five days at your child's pace.
