Welcome to Koraunui Kindergarten, located in the heart of Stokes Valley, Lower Hutt, New Zealand. We are an establishment that offers a stimulating environment for tamariki (children) to learn and play all year round. Our spacious indoor and outdoor areas are connected by a covered veranda, allowing tamariki to enjoy a variety of spaces and activities regardless of the weather.

At Koraunui Kindergarten, we pride ourselves on reflecting the interests and culture of our tamariki in our environment. We provide them with plenty of opportunities to explore, discover, and play. As an all year service, we remain open during term breaks, with a two-week closure period over Christmas and New Year, as well as on public holidays.

We are proud to be part of the KidsCan ECE program, which ensures that all children receive food five days a week. Our meals consist of sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, and three cooked meals per week. Additionally, each child receives a new pair of shoes and a rain jacket. We believe in supporting the well-being of our tamariki in every way possible.

We strongly encourage whānau (family) to share their culture with us and actively participate in their child's kindergarten experience. By working together, we aim to grow confident young learners. Our kindergarten is deeply involved in our community and regularly organizes trips to the local library and schools, fostering a sense of belonging and place.

Our session times are Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm, with a maximum group size of 30 children. Please note that our term dates for the year are as follows: Term 1: 25 Jan – 6 Apr, Term 2: 24 Apr – 30 Jun, Term 3: 17 Jul – 22 Sep, and Term 4: 9 Oct – 21 Dec.
