With a spacious setting that can accommodate up to 30 children, we ensure that our four dedicated teachers are able to spend quality time with individuals or small groups of children. This allows us to cater to each child's unique needs and interests, fostering their development and growth.

At Tairangi Kindergarten, we believe in the power of mixed-age settings. Children have the opportunity to attend up to five days a week, learning alongside their peers of different ages. This not only encourages them to learn from each other, but also helps them develop leadership skills through the tuakana/teina concept, where older children become role models for their younger counterparts.

Our philosophy emphasizes the importance of play both indoors and outdoors. We encourage children to explore new things and pursue their areas of interest with minimal interruption. Through free play, children develop focus, concentration, and the ability to set goals for themselves. They also learn valuable social skills and form friendships in a supportive and inclusive environment.
