Inspired by their shared love for Lebanese cuisine, they decided to switch the menu and bring Michael's mother, Leila, into the kitchen. Her incredible culinary skills became the backbone of the restaurant's success.

After some time, Michael and Raye bought Cafe Rocca and made the bold decision to move to Bowral, bringing Leila along with them. Her recipes, passed down through generations, continued to delight diners and establish Leila's at The Grand as a beloved culinary destination. Although Leila may no longer be with us, this establishment serves as a tribute to her and all the Taytas (grandmothers) who have shared their culinary wisdom and love.
