Welcome to Dinky Di Children’s Learning Centre Tumbi Umbi! Located in the rural part of Hansens Road, our centre is surrounded by a peaceful and leafy backdrop, providing a serene environment for children to thrive.

With five age-specific learning studios, we have the capacity to accommodate up to 90 children per day. Each studio and its adjoining amenities are purpose-built to cater to the specific needs of different age groups. Our aim is to inspire children and create an inclusive atmosphere that promotes tranquility, collaboration, exploration, and movement.

At Dinky Di Tumbi Umbi, we believe in providing stimulating and engaging experiences for children, fostering peer interactions, and supporting their development. Our thoughtfully facilitated learning spaces, both indoors and outdoors, allow children to revisit equipment daily, building upon their skills and knowledge. Our programs align with the Early Years Learning Framework, ensuring that children become successful learners.

We cater to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years and operate from Monday to Friday, from 6:30am to 6:30pm. We are excited to be part of your child's early learning journey and welcome you into the Dinky Di family!

To ensure the safety and well-being of our children, we have implemented a Sun Safety policy. We provide hats that are regularly washed and kept at the centre, as well as sunscreen. Additionally, we kindly request parents to provide a bottom sheet, top sheet, and a blanket (in cooler months) to meet their child's rest and relaxation needs. Special comfort items or dummies should be labeled and will be stored in individual dummy pots to maintain hygiene.

We encourage sensory exploration and creativity, which sometimes results in getting wet or messy. Therefore, we ask parents to provide a few changes of clothes and underwear for their child, labeled and packed in a small bag. Each child will have their own locker to keep their belongings.

Our team of dedicated Early Education and Care professionals at Dinky Di Tumbi Umbi is the driving force behind our provision of premium early education and care. Our educators are well-versed in child development theory and practices, staying updated with current trends in the industry. They work together to facilitate exceptional learning programs for the children and families at our centre.

We understand the importance of the earliest years in a child's development, and our educators are committed to guiding our youngest community members through this crucial stage. We believe in a slow learning approach, allowing children and educators to take their time in building knowledge and exploring ideas. This approach ensures that individuals have a solid foundation before moving on to new concepts.

We also prioritize the natural environment and its impact on our teaching journey. As we educate future leaders, we instill a respect for the environment and make it a part of our everyday experiences with the children. We acknowledge that our centres reside on the lands of the Darkinjung and Awabakal people, and we pay our respects to their Elders, both past and present.
