"One of the most beautiful hotels I've seen in a while, has that amazing added feature that is pet friendly!! Food was spectacular especially the buffet. The staff are amazing and the rooms are gorgeous. View was awesome too and the entire trip was 10 times better because of this hotel. "I recently attended my nephew's wedding at Pier One Sydney Harbour with my family, and unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. My daughter, who has a severe peanut allergy, was subjected to a life-threatening situation due to the hotel's negligence and lack of professionalism. My Nephew and his Wife informed the hotel restaurant, specifically informed the staff about my daughter's life-threatening allergy, emphasizing the importance of avoiding any contact with peanuts. Shockingly, despite these clear warnings, my daughter was served a pistachio ice cream containing peanuts, which she unknowingly consumed. The consequences were devastating. Within minutes, she suffered from a severe allergic reaction, which included vomiting and extreme discomfort. Not only was her physical well-being compromised, but emotionally, it was a terrifying experience for our whole family. What compounds the situation further is the total lack of urgency and professionalism displayed by the hotel management in handling this matter. We expected prompt action to address the emergency and provide necessary medical assistance. However, their response was utterly disappointing. The staff seemed completely unprepared to handle an emergency situation, showing a shocking disregard for guest safety and well-being. Rather than taking immediate action, the management demonstrated a complete lack of empathy and failed to prioritize a potentially life-threatening situation. It was disheartening to witness such a lackadaisical attitude and an alarming absence of professionalism during a crisis. As parents, we rely on hotels to ensure the safety and comfort of our children, especially when severe allergies are involved. Sadly, Pier One Sydney Harbour fell miserably short in fulfilling this basic expectation. Their inability to take swift action and handle my daughter's allergic reaction professionally has left us deeply dissatisfied and fearful of ever returning to this establishment. We strongly urge management at Pier One Sydney Harbour to take allergen management seriously, instilling proper training and protocols for their staff. The safety of all guests, particularly those with allergies, should be their utmost concern. In short, our experience at Pier One Sydney Harbour was marred by the negligence, lack of urgency, and unprofessionalism displayed by the hotel management. As a result, we cannot recommend this establishment to anyone, especially to those with allergies who require a safe and secure environment. Matt"

"This hotel is amazing and quite a very special gem. I am so thankful I chose to stay here at Pier One Sydney Harbour. What a special boutique hotel right by the Sydney water overlooking the iconic Sydney Harbor Bridge. Location can't be beat, walking distance to almost everything being that it is within the Rocks, everything is walkable. I walked through the Sydney waterfront all the way to the Quay Harbor, passing the iconic Sydney Opera House, and even took the ferry from there to get to Manly Bay! All of the great shops and restaurants were all at walking distance. Service is top notch, from the front desk ( special shout out to Yulia) and the concierge, specially to Eugene Chang who went above and beyond with all of the great recommendations to make my visit to Sydney as fun and memorable, and helping me arrange my change in flights as well. My room, being upgraded into a waterfront suite was amazing! I get to see all the boats pass by my balcony while drinking my coffee from my room. A very nice welcome gesture was also prepared for me in appreciation of my being a Marriott Ambassador loyal. I love this hotel and couldn't recommend it enough! I want to go back here again someday!"

"Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Pier One. Rooms were great, amazing view of the west side of the harbour and very comfortable bed. If you can, take the third floor west facing for a mini balcony. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of options available at the buffet. Enjoyed a drink at the outside bar a few nights for a great relaxing stay. Location, simply perfect. 15 minute walk to Circular Quey for ferries or trains and located right under the bridge. Definitely will return."
